MUSICIANSHIP CLASS
This is an enrichment course for all young Suzuki students and their parents who love music and would like to learn how to write it, read it and play it in an ensemble. Students playing in late Book 1 and who are seven years or older may take this course.
In the semester before Christmas, students learn how to write music by studying the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, form, tone colour and expression. Original compositions are performed at a concert prior to Christmas break.
After Christmas, students explore note reading and apply this skill to ensemble playing.
